About This Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead System Operations Engineer to lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high-level systems consultation for technology teams. You will work as a key participant in large-scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for the Systems Operations functional area.
In This Role
- Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors (alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews).
- Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements.
- Consult with engineering teams on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards.
- Collaborate with peers and managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience (or equivalent via work/training/military/education).
- Strong Java & Spring: Proven track record supporting production systems.
- RCA Expertise: Demonstrated ability to perform effective Root Cause Analysis.
- Splunk Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Splunk for monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Led Operations: Experience leading production operations, incident management, and system reliability.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to lead technical discussions.
- Proven expertise in RESTful services and microservices architecture.
