Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization and design of autonomous helicopter systems in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Define and refine system requirements, specifications, and architecture, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Develop comprehensive implementation plans for autonomous systems, considering timelines and resource allocation.
- Oversee the execution of system design, integration, and testing, adhering strictly to safety and regulatory standards.
- Drive the architecture development for avionics, flight control, communication, and navigation systems for autonomous helicopters.
- Proactively identify and resolve challenges in system design and functionality.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
- Maintain meticulous documentation throughout all phases of system design, testing, and validation.
- Engage with external partners, suppliers, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Systems Engineer, preferably in the aerospace or robotics industry, with a focus on autonomous systems.
- Expertise in systems architecture, modeling, and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of safety-critical systems and certification processes for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for seamless teamwork in a cross-functional environment.
Mandatory Skills
- Demonstrated experience in the concept, design, and execution of autonomous systems for unmanned aerial vehicles.
- Familiarity with software development processes and relevant programming languages.
- In-depth knowledge of planning and executing complex aerospace projects.
- Proficiency with CAD tools, project management software, and simulation tools.
