Lead Software Engineer

What You Will Do

• Collaborate within a passionate team focused on delivering impactful solutions that delight our customers.
• Develop robust applications using NodeJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and deploy them to our AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Build sophisticated React applications deployed as Single Page Applications (SPAs), leveraging a continuous development pipeline through GitLab.
• Engage with and contribute to a wide range of open-source projects, actively exploring and promoting new technologies to foster high-quality designs and code.
• Utilize and enhance shared software assets across the company, including UX component libraries and service frameworks.
• Mentor fellow developers and share your enthusiasm for technology within the team.
• Contribute to an evolving software development process that champions agile methodologies, cohesive teamwork, and thorough code reviews.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience and/or training.
• Proficiency in NodeJS programming.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, with JavaScript/TypeScript strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively at multiple levels of the technology stack.
• Experience with modern software development practices and a daily commitment to writing and reviewing code.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment within a highly talented team.
• Minimum of 6 years of modern web development experience, with microservices, React, and JavaScript being significant advantages.
• Proven ability to collaborate closely with product leads to understand business needs, propose technical solutions, and provide epic-level estimates.
• A strong drive for self-improvement and a proactive approach to your learning journey, with company support for training and coaching.
