Lead Software Engineer - Commercial Solutions (Pune)

About the Role

Join Mastercard's Commercial Solutions organization in Pune to lead innovation in B2B payment technologies. You will play a critical role in our digital transformation journey, building world-class microservices and web applications using Angular, Java, and PCF (Power Platform/Cloud Framework). Our goal is to streamline how businesses manage payments globally through secure, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the planning, design, and development of robust microservices for our B2B technology platform.
• Build and own full-stack applications delivering exceptional quality and security at scale.
• Participate in rigorous code reviews, retrospectives, and collaborative Pull Requests using Git workflows.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, test engineers, TPMs, and Product Managers to optimize digital payment efficiency for buyers and sellers worldwide.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Solid foundation in CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Advanced leadership skills with a proven track record of collaborating within Agile teams focused on continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated expertise in web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and front-end frameworks like Angular.
• Proficiency in building enterprise-grade applications using Java and PCF tools.
• Experience with relational storage technologies such as PostgreSQL or Oracle at massive scale.
• Mastery of automated testing practices within a continuous delivery model (CI/CD) utilizing Git.

Nice to Have

• Domain experience in commercial card solutions, corporate banking, or fintech ecosystems.
• Ability to multi-task and manage complex projects independently with minimal supervision.
• Past performance in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments oriented towards customer success.
