Lead Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) Developer based in Pune, India. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise planning solutions for Wiley's Global Planning System, supporting critical financial functions including journal title accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Development: Build and maintain IBM TM1 models (cubes, dimensions, rules, feeders) to support complex business logic for budgeting, forecasting, allocations, and consolidations.
• Data Integration & Automation: Develop and optimize TurboIntegrator (TI) processes for seamless data loading from ERPs, GLs, and cloud warehouses. Experience with ODBC or ETL tools is highly valued.
• Presentation Layer: Create intuitive planning front-ends using Planning Analytics for Excel (PAfE) and TM1 Web to empower stakeholders.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize model performance by refining rules vs. feeders strategies, managing memory usage via MTQ, and troubleshooting slow queries in production environments.
• Collaboration & Support: Partner closely with Finance, FP&A, and business stakeholders to support monthly close cycles and deliver ad-hoc analysis reports.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Finance/Accounting preferred).
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with IBM TM1/Planning Analytics development and reporting.
• Strong SQL proficiency for data extraction and transformation tasks.
• Solid grasp of multidimensional (OLAP) modeling concepts.
• In-depth understanding of financial planning processes: budgeting, forecasting, allocations, and consolidation methodologies.
