Lead Software Engineer

About the Role

EPAM is seeking a Lead Software Engineer focused on developing, enhancing, and maintaining code for impactful projects. You will build back-end microservices and REST APIs within multi-national teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality source code
Design and implement robust back-end microservices and REST APIs
• Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure reliability
Perform rigorous code reviews following best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams on solution designTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
• 8 to 12 years of professional development experience required
• Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Java, Spring Framework, Kafka, REST APIs, microservices architecture, and WebWebLogic

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Master's degree in Computer Science
Background in financial services (wealth management)Familiarity with additional programming languages
• Knowledge of cloud technologies
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies
