Lead Software Engineer - Java Full Stack, AWS in Hyderabad, Telangana

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with expertise in Java Full Stack and AWS to join their Consumer and Community Banking division in Hyderabad, Telangana. As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for spearheading critical technology solutions across various business functions. You will leverage your creativity to design, develop, and troubleshoot software, going beyond conventional approaches to build robust solutions and break down complex technical problems. Your role will involve developing secure, high-quality production code, as well as reviewing and debugging code written by peers.

Key responsibilities include identifying and automating the remediation of recurring issues to enhance the operational stability of software applications and systems. You will also lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials for integration into existing systems and information architecture. Furthermore, you will champion communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote the adoption of new and leading-edge technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute creative software solutions, encompassing design, development, and technical troubleshooting, with an ability to think innovatively.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review/debug code written by others.
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical suitability.
• Lead communities of practice to drive awareness and adoption of new technologies.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Database (SQL & NoSQL), Messaging Systems (Kafka, MQ), and AWS or any cloud platform.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Advanced knowledge of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within specialized disciplines like cloud, AI, ML, or mobile development.
• Practical experience with cloud-native development.
