Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Our Data-as-a-service team is expanding, and we are seeking three big data experts. We currently manage SG Data platform service offers and data tools including data ingestion, data processing, data exposition, data cleaning, and data tools such as data formatters and anonymizers. As a big data engineer, you will develop, maintain, and create new cloud-oriented features in collaboration with DDS/Data Foundation teams to advance the data approach across all SG entities and subsidiaries.

Profile Required

Experience: 3-5 Years

Skills:

• Computer programming: Spark, Scala, Java, Python
• Operating system knowledge: Unix, Linux
• Databases and SQL
• ETL and data warehousing
• Hadoop
• Apache Spark

Tasks:

• Maintain an excellent service level for the platform and prevent issues.
• Research new methods for obtaining valuable data and improving its quality.
• Create and enhance data solutions using various programming languages and tools.
• Develop and improve data architectures that align with business requirements.
• Collaborate within the tech league group to discover new approaches.
