About the Role: As a Lead Software Engineer II - Frontend at Sense (Bengaluru), you will play an active role in shaping and developing our contractor communication platform. You will deliver features to the world's best places to work, working closely with founders who are lifelong entrepreneurs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design and product teams to implement and iterate on features for Sense.
- Break down complex problems into solvable pieces of work for other Engineers.
- Mentor an incredibly talented group of peers and provide product ownership.
- Build and maintain crisp, consistent interfaces; contribute to the ongoing development of our design system.
- Responsibility for several large-scale ReactJS web applications (Chat interfaces, data visualisations).
- Lead code reviews, pairing sessions, and architecture discussions in an agile environment.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated ownership of the product and mentoring other Frontend Engineers.
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS; Proficiency in React AND/OR equivalent modern UI framework (7 to 10 years experience).
- Familiarity with server-side web frameworks, APIs from microservice backends, testable code, and maintainability.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with TypeScript, WebSockets, Canvas/SVG/animation in a high-growth startup environment.
