Full Job Description
Role Overview
Own the automated lifecycle of enterprise standard compute and container images to drive workloads onto approved images. Help standardize IAM roles, policies, and access controls across users, applications, and automation. Enforce standards for source control, testing, and CI/CD infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate what you build: define monitoring requirements, take on-call rotations, respond to incidents, run root cause analysis, and validate changes before release.
- Collaborate with development teams and product owners to prioritize enhancements that allow the business to scale.
Tech Stack & Tools
Kubernetes: GKE/EKS at scale.
CI/CD Platforms: Harness, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab (including artifact management and release safety).
IaC: Terraform module design with remote state, workspaces, policy enforcement, and migration of existing resources.
Artifact Management: Artifactory or comparable repositories for repos, promotion, retention, and publishing.
Configuration & Automation: Ansible, SaltStack, Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go.
Cloud Ops: AWS and GCP (patching, backup, tagging, capacity management).
Networking & Security: DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, hybrid connectivity, IAM design, secrets/certificate management, policy as code.
Qualifications
- Experience: 4-7 years in SRE or Cloud Engineering developing/supporting complex cloud ecosystems.
Liderhip & Delivery: 4+ years leading design, implementation, and delivery of technology solutions with a focus on automation and operational efficiency.
