Your Opportunity
Join New Relic's Integrations Platform team as the Lead Software Engineer. You will define technical direction for new integrations (GitHub, GitHub Enterprise, ServiceNow), building scalable event-driven Java services on Kafka and Kubernetes.
What You'll Do
- Build a scalable platform ingesting data from thousands of customers via dozens of integrations.
- Define the technical roadmap ensuring high availability, resilience, and operational excellence.
- Lead design/development of reliable Java services without data loss using Kafka/Kubernetes.
- Own multi-engineer projects end-to-end while staying hands-on with code reviews.
- Mentor engineers and establish standards for security, performance, and observability (SLOs).
Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years in software engineering; 2+ as technical lead on distributed systems.
- Tech Stack: Expert Java/Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, AWS/Kubernetes/Docker/CI-CD.
- Design: Strong system design skills with SQL and resilient microservices architecture.
