Lead Software Engineer

Electronic Arts is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our CT - IT department in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This hybrid role is for a Regular Employee responsible for developing scalable and efficient solutions for millions of players globally, utilizing the latest technologies to build modern applications. You will collaborate closely with Scrum Masters, Product Managers, and partners to deliver product features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with stakeholders to develop scalable and efficient solutions that enhance player experience.
• Develop high-volume, low-latency Java applications and backend APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Build frontend designs and integrate them with backend services.
• Work on cloud-native serverless solutions to achieve product capabilities.
• Lead the deliverables of a product line.
• Ensure code quality and efficiency, including comprehensive unit testing.
• Collaborate with talented designers, engineers from diverse technical backgrounds, and architects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent, with over 8 years of overall experience as a Lead Full Stack Java Engineer.
• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience with front-end technologies such as NextJS, React, or Angular, along with TypeScript/JavaScript and advanced CSS technologies like Tailwind or Bootstrap.
• Excellent knowledge of design patterns and scalable architectures.
• Proficiency in creating APIs from scratch using Spring Boot.
• Experience with AWS cloud services including Lambda, S3, EC2, Step Functions, or similar cloud products.
• Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and their query languages.
• Strong experience in writing unit tests using JUnit to ensure production-ready code with minimal bugs.
• Understanding of containerization concepts with platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Agile methodologies for rapid iteration on product changes, developing user stories, and managing backlogs.
• Proven experience mentoring developers and leading technical programs.
• Effective communication skills for providing updates and resolutions to customers and partners.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in technical decision-making.
