Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Developer to architect and build high-performance APIs and workflows that power our intelligent planning and booking assistant.

Your Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust backend services using Node.js (Express), Fastapi, or Spring Boot, integrating them with major travel APIs for flights, hotels, and activities.
• Implement RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming to support our AI-powered trip planning ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with frontend teams and AI orchestration layers to ensure a seamless end-user experience.
• Design clean, reusable modules that integrate smoothly with third-party booking platforms.
• Optimize performance and scalability for real-time query systems handling complex travel data.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of backend development experience specifically within product-based startups.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems architecture.
• In-depth understanding of RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming patterns, and database management (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL).
• Familiarity with message queues such as Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, WebSockets, and caching mechanisms.

Non-Negotiables

You must possess experience working in high-agency startup engineering teams with a proactive 'builder's mindset' and the ability to write clean, modular, and testable code.

Bonus Points

Experience building travel-specific applications, booking systems, or real-time data processing platforms.
