Lead Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking passionate Full Stack Software Engineers to lead major transformations at Capital One India. As part of the Machine Learning eXperience (MLX) team, you will be on the forefront of deploying responsible GenAI and ML models for our 100MM+ customers.

What You'll Do

• Lead Strategic Projects: Drive diverse technology initiatives using distributed systems, microservices, platform engineering, and AI/ML applications.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, design, data science, and engineering teams to deliver scalable AI/ML capabilities.
• Build Developer Ecosystems: Design production-grade APIs, SDKs, libraries, microservices, and tools that enable seamless integration of GenAI (LLMs, RAG, agents) into enterprise platforms.
• Ensure Responsible AI: Develop robust observability, evaluation, monitoring, and safety mechanisms for LLM/AI solutions.
• Leverage Modern Tech Stack: Utilize AWS tools, containers, Kubernetes, NoSQL/Relational databases, and serverless architectures to build scalable solutions.
• Mentor & Innovate: Share expertise in emerging tech trends, experiment with new frameworks (LangChain, Haystack), participate in technology communities, and mentor engineering teams.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ Years: Total software engineering experience.
• 8+ Years: Building back-end services (Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, Node, Scala, TypeScript).
• 6+ Years: Working with database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
• 4+ Years: Designing data-intensive solutions using distributed computing and event-driven development.
• 3+ Years: Building or integrating AI/ML solutions including GenAI, LLMs, RAG, and ML platforms.
