About the Role

Cadence Design Systems is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Python API/agentic) based in Noida to lead the GUI and core workflow architecture for Quantus Insight, our next-generation parasitic extraction platform.

The Opportunity

Built from scratch less than four years ago, this modern codebase offers a rare EDA environment with minimal legacy burden. You will collaborate closely with leadership in the Digital & Signoff Group to design application architecture using the Qt Framework and optimize core structures for high-performance data loads exceeding one billion elements.

Job Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: Standardize robust internal dataflows, architect high-performance UI-agnostic structures, and implement advanced multi-threading patterns to isolate heavy background operations from interactive layers.
• Agentic AI Integration: Orchestrate existing system functionalities into unified AI-native workflows. Expose application states via clean interfaces for LLM access. Ensure autonomous actions by the AI agent are instantly reflected within the Qt user interface, shaping a system where AI acts as an active verification and interpretation driver.
• GUI Development (Qt Framework): Drive hands-on development of graphical user interfaces using C++ and Qt Widgets. Build high-scale Model/View components optimized for lazy loading in Linux environments. Profile and tune performance under extreme memory/CPU utilization using GDB/Valgrind.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for professionals with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science who possess 4+ years of experience (or equivalent advanced degree) focused on complex desktop application UIs. Key skills include expert proficiency in modern C++17+, high-performance computing via multi-threading, Linux development expertise, and strong software engineering principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with the Qt Framework for GUI development (Big Plus).
• Knowledge of parasitic extraction or physical verification (EDA Experience).
• Hands-on experience building agentic workflows or working with LLM APIs is highly desirable. A strong personal interest in AI concepts to apply core software engineering workflows will also be considered.
