Lead Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer specializing in backend development. In this role, you will design and build scalable serverless backend services using Python within a cloud-native environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Architect and develop robust APIs utilizing Python.
• Serverless Architecture: Create efficient microservices leveraging AWS Lambda functions.
• API Design: Implement secure, optimized API layers using GraphQL for flexible data access.
• Cloud Operations: Manage core AWS serverless infrastructure including API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• System Integration: Seamlessly connect functions with external services and diverse data stores.
• Code Quality: Ensure high standards through clean Python code writing, unit testing, and active participation in peer code reviews.

Core Skills Required

- Proficiency in Python 3.x
- Experience with AWS Lambda and Serverless frameworks
- Strong understanding of GraphQL and REST APIs

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AWS CDK/CloudFormation for infrastructure as code
• Experience containerizing applications with Docker
• Skill in setting up CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases

Requirements

- 2 to 5 years of software engineering experience focused on Python and cloud-based systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
