Lead Software Engineer

Role Overview

Open Text Technologies is seeking a seasoned Lead Software Engineer based in Bengaluru to drive technical excellence and agile program execution. This hybrid role combines deep-stack Java development with Agile Release Train (ART) leadership to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement robust full-stack software applications and microservices using Java 8+, Spring Boot, and modern UI frameworks.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineering teams and conduct rigorous code reviews to maintain high quality standards.
• Facilitate SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, System Demos, and backlog refinement.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to resolve cross-team dependencies and optimize program delivery.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage database architectures utilizing PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MSSQL.

Required Technical Skills

• Extensive experience in Java development, microservices architecture, and REST API design.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular/React).
• Strong command of DevOps tools, including GitLab CI, Jenkins, and Maven.
• Deep expertise in Agile and SAFe methodologies for large-scale project management.
