Lead Software Engineer

We are seeking experienced Engineers to join Grab's payments team. You will design, deliver, and maintain scalable solutions meeting the region's payment needs while reporting directly to the Engineering Manager II.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect high-performance backend systems using a platform-driven approach tailored for Southeast Asia's market demands.
• Mentor engineering teams, fostering innovation and continuous improvement within our diverse regional workforce.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define technical strategies aligned with Grab's growth trajectory across 8 countries.
• Establish industry-leading technical standards that ensure reliability as we serve millions of daily users.
• Optimize system performance, focusing on efficiency and scalability for our expanding superapp ecosystem.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; 8+ years experience with 5+ focused on scalable systems.
• Expertise in Golang, microservices architecture, RESTful API design, and distributed databases (NoSQL).
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking principles.
• Proven leadership in driving technical decisions and mentoring teams within fast-paced environments.
