Lead Software Developer

SITA is seeking a Lead Software Developer (Java) for its Baggage Management portfolio in Delhi. This role involves working within a cross-functional scrum team to develop innovative solutions for the air travel industry, specifically focusing on improving baggage handling and reducing lost luggage incidents. The Lead Software Developer will guide and mentor development and testing teams, collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements, and translate high-level visions into actionable tasks. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Java technologies and modern frameworks like Spring, Primefaces, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, and JMS. The role requires analyzing business requirements, developing end-to-end application modules, adhering to coding standards, ensuring security and performance optimization, and creating detailed documentation. The Lead will also review work estimates from junior developers and ensure applications meet business and user expectations.
