Job Summary

The QA Engineer (Lead) oversees all stages of the quality assurance process. Responsibilities include assessing test requirements to determine functionality scope, designing automated test cases, documenting defects, analyzing results for root cause analysis, and performing re-testing after fixes are implemented.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor QA engineers in developing execution plans including automation frameworks like Playwright.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation and implement process improvements to boost efficiency towards full automation.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders across the SDLC.
• Escalate critical issues for cross-functional resolution until defect closure.
• Analyze test results, provide technical support during installations/configuration, and advocate best practices in software quality.
• Manage project deadlines while driving team development through training opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5-7 years in QA with 7-10 years in leadership roles (Senior/Lead level).
• Tech Stack: Proficiency in JavaScript, Playwright, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux/Unix commands.
• Domains: Strong understanding of Agile/Waterfall methodologies; knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP) is a plus.

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with Bugzilla, SharePoint, and scripting tools for automation.
• Experience in Linux-based services installation, upgrade processes, and lab troubleshooting within high-speed collaborative environments.
