Lead Mechanical Engineer

The Role

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer - Pneumatic Systems, you will own the design, analysis, and execution of complex pneumatic systems for high-performance autonomous platforms. You will bridge heavy-duty structural kinematics with high-pressure fluid dynamics to deliver field-deployable infrastructure, primarily focusing on deployable mechanical assemblies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory), preferably from a Tier-1 Institute like IITs, BITS, NITs, or global top 100 universities.
• Experience: 2–6 years of professional experience in mechanical system design or R&D environments with proven capability for designing and developing mechanical assemblies.
• Expertise: Proven engineering experience in Pneumatic Systems, including high-pressure line routing, valving, regulators, cylinders, and sealing mechanics.
• Tool Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of 3D CAD (SolidWorks), ANSYS Fluent, MATLAB, etc.
• Rapid Prototyping: Strong capability to prototype components quickly using 3D printing or small-batch fabrication to translate designs into functional hardware.
• Technical Sourcing: Ability to identify supply chain vendors and coordinate with manufacturing partners.
• Note: This is a Builder Role. You must have physically prototyped, built, and hands-on tested mechanical systems yourself (not just for analysts).

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience with high-strength alloys, custom machining, pressure-vessel safety compliance, and GD&T manufacturing drawings.
