Role Overview: Lead Java Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer with 8+ years of experience in Java-based technologies and microservices architecture to join our Digital Platform Services team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using modern frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications using Java (Java 8/17).
• Build and deploy microservices-based applications using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Implement secure applications using Spring Security.
• Develop and consume RESTful web services.
• Work with messaging systems such as Kafka for event-driven architecture.
• Implement workflow/process automation using Camunda.
• Perform unit testing using JUnit to ensure high code quality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.

Technical Skills Required

• Strong proficiency in Java (8/17)
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Spring Security
• Experience in Microservices architecture
• Knowledge of RESTful Web Services
• Experience with Apache Kafka
• Familiarity with Camunda BPM
• Strong experience with SQL databases
• Working knowledge of NoSQL databases (preferably Cosmos DB)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
