Lead Infrastructure Engineer

As the Lead Infrastructure Engineer at Inception AI's ODC, you will be the technical lead for infrastructure operations and delivery, bridging architecture intent with engineering execution. You'll translate reference designs into operational infrastructure, lead a team of engineers across AKS, Azure networking, compute, and DevSecOps, and ensure delivery quality. Your responsibilities include:

1. Leading the ODC infrastructure engineering team: assigning tasks, conducting code and design reviews, mentoring engineers, and managing sprint goals.
2. Owning operational reliability of AKS clusters, including upgrades, node pool scaling, workload health, and incident response.
3. Driving the quality of IaC codebase: Terraform module design, state management, PR review standards, and pipeline integration.
4. Coordinating infrastructure changes through ITIL-aligned Change Management, including RFC authoring, CAB review, and post-implementation validation.
5. Acting as the technical escalation point for complex incidents, leading RCA investigations, and conducting postmortems.
6. Managing Azure resource governance: tagging, cost attribution, subscription hygiene, and quota management.
7. Collaborating with the Infrastructure Architect to implement reference designs and ensuring security controls with DevSecOps and InfoSec.
8. Overseeing onboarding of AI/ML infrastructure, including GPU node pools, AI Foundry endpoints, and model serving infrastructure.
9. Producing and maintaining runbooks, architectural diagrams, and operational dashboards.
10. Contributing to hiring and team growth through technical interviews and defining engineering standards.

Qualifications include expertise in AKS, Azure networking, compute, Terraform, and AI/ML infrastructure. Leadership in mentoring teams, ITIL practices, and FinOps optimization is essential. Certifications like AZ-104 or AZ-305 are preferred.
