Lead Full Stack Engineer (.NET) - Rockstar Games - Bengaluru, India

Rockstar Games is seeking a passionate Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic Online Services team in Bengaluru, India. This is an in-office, full-time position where you will contribute as an individual and lead a skilled, diverse group of developers in building and maintaining the technology that powers our acclaimed online titles and delivers exceptional player experiences.

About Online Services at Rockstar Games

The Rockstar Games Online Services Team is dedicated to growing and maintaining the robust technology platform that underpins our online games. We architect and implement high-impact features that connect our diverse player communities, build essential services and tools for consumer-facing experiences, and support our internal business operations. We specialize in creating connected experiences that span across our beloved game franchises.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers in the maintenance and enhancement of our React and .NET systems.
• Define key results, establish team objectives, and provide critical technical expertise and mentorship.
• Conduct performance evaluations and regular check-ins to ensure team alignment and progress towards goals.
• Develop and clearly communicate technical roadmaps to leadership.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management and Production teams to effectively scope and prioritize projects.
• Facilitate seamless integration of systems with multi-functional teams.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience in an enterprise-level organization, including at least 3 years of experience leading an engineering team of 4 or more individuals.
• Proven ability to facilitate effective communication with globally distributed teams.
• Experience thriving in a highly iterative and collaborative development environment.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in modern .NET, TypeScript, and React for building secure, high-performance web applications.
• Solid understanding of web security protocols.
• Experience with automated quality assurance utilizing test frameworks.
• Familiarity with source control platforms and best practices for shared code management.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies is essential.

Pluses (Desirable Skills)

• Experience with Next.js / Node.js.
• An understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines.
• Experience supporting high-traffic websites.
• Experience building applications leveraging micro frontend architectures.
• A genuine passion for playing video games and familiarity with Rockstar Games titles.
