Your Impact as a Lead Engineer - Protection & Control:

• Create Key Line Diagrams (Protection SLD) and schematic drawings covering line, transformer, SVC, capacitor bank protection, busbar protection, and breaker fail schemes.
• Develop Panel General Arrangements, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), wiring diagrams, interface drawings, and interconnection schedules.
• Draft Relay Assembled forms and AC/DC auxiliary schematics.
• Perform complex relay setting calculations for various protection schemes.

Technical Expertise Required:

• Hands-on experience with numerical relay configurations (SIEMENS, ABB, GE) including IEC61850 setups for digital substations is highly desirable. Experience on Australia/New Zealand projects is a plus.
• Demonstrate proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD, with basic knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and other design tools.
• Show strong understanding of international standards, grid codes (especially AU/NZ if applicable), and renewable energy systems (Solar, Wind, Battery storage).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver drawings to high quality standards within mutually agreed timelines with the client.
• Communicate confidently with clients or foreign counterparts; attend meetings with project leads/engineers.
• Manage technical relationships and build contacts with key clients while resolving queries effectively.
• Collaborate with Design Project Engineers (DPEs) and Project Managers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Solve technical problems within teams to achieve high assurance on project deliverables.

About You:

Hold a BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering with minimum 12 years of experience in protection & control (Substation experience up to 400/765kV is desirable).

Certifications & Skills:

• Familiarity with IEC 61850 and numerical relays.
• Experience design software: AutoCAD, DIGSI 5, PCM600, Ener vista, MicroStation.
• Preferred: Python programming experience and ETAP usage.
