Lead Engineer

Experian is seeking a hands-on Lead Engineer (.NET/Azure) to contribute to and architect high-volume, high-transaction applications within the Experian Employer Services (EES) organization. This role involves writing code, participating in code reviews, evaluating static analysis security testing (SAST) findings, and collaborating with the broader EES team to deliver high-quality software solutions for clients and partners.

The Lead Engineer will also mentor other engineers, delegate tasks, and assess new technologies for integration into the EES product ecosystem. This position reports to the Director - Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze new feature requirements, including architectural design, software development best practices, test strategies, database design, security considerations, and cloud architecture.
• Develop and modernize applications for optimal performance across multiple devices.
• Create and enhance APIs and partner integrations.
• Implement high-quality code and unit tests.
• Lead design sessions to define Azure-based technical solutions.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Adhere to Experian's Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• Resolve QA-identified bugs promptly.
• Demonstrate functionality to the Product team for approval.
• Foster a DevOps culture and collaborate with IT as needed.
• Provide assistance to team members and oversee the quality of delegated tasks.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for platform emergencies.

Technical Requirements:

• Extensive experience with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and Azure.
• Extensive experience with MS SQL Server, Azure SQL, T-SQL, and Relational Database Design.
• Extensive experience with Frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, Angular, and ReactJS.
• Extensive experience with Azure Cloud Solutions (IaaS, SaaS).
• Extensive experience with APIs, microservices, container development, and integrations.
• Extensive experience with ETL Technologies such as SSIS and ADF.
• Expert knowledge of current Architectural Patterns and Cloud-Native development.
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Agile software methodologies.
• Experience with Entity Framework or other ORMs.

General Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience in the Microsoft stack (.NET, DotNet Core, C#, SQL Server) with architectural expertise.
• 3+ years of team lead experience.
• 5+ years of Azure cloud experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (Master's preferred).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure certifications.
• Understanding of Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence concepts.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
