Lead Engineer Mechanical Design

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to translate customer requirements into compliant, feasible technical solutions within our engineering laboratory environment. You will own the end-to-end design lifecycle for pneumatic and electro-mechanical systems.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design & Analysis: Analyze customer needs to develop robust technical solutions adhering to ISO standards, regulations, and internal engineering rules.
• CAD & Documentation: Create expert-level 3D assemblies and detailed 2D drawings including pneumatic/electrical layouts. Prepare comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Component Optimization: Select, optimize, and specify accessories, fittings, tubing connections, valve islands, air preparation units, and logical components (flow restrictors, check valves, etc.).
• Testing & Validation: Manage design changes via risk assessment and conduct product/system-level testing following strict safety guidelines.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Applications teams to ensure solution feasibility and on-time delivery of high-quality deliverables.

Who You Are (Requirements):

• Education: Bachelor's in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in Piping, Oil & Gas, Process Industry, Electro-Mechanical environments, Robotic Automation, or related disciplines with a global engineering background preferred.

Technical Skills Required:

• CAD Software: Expert proficiency in PDO Creo and AutoCAD.
• Databases/PLM: Proficient practices with Siemens Windchill. Knowledge of Eplan is an advantage.
• Pneumatics & Fluids: Deep knowledge of pneumatic circuit diagrams, flow calculations across fluid paths, tube sizing, and connection types (Filter-Regulator-Lubricator, Solenoid Valves, etc.).
• Languages: Neutral Verbal English is required; German language skills are a strong plus.
