About the Role
Join Eaton's Life Safety software team as a Lead Engineer. This pivotal role focuses on the full-stack development and ongoing support of the on-premise application, VisionGuard. You will be instrumental in developing modern visualization software using C# and the .NET framework.
Responsibilities
- Conduct full-stack software development for modern visualization software (C#, .NET).
- Review user requirements, develop system requirements specifications, and provide accurate estimates to the project manager.
- Lead design and development activities, ensuring high-quality, high-performance, and unit-tested code.
- Secure robust, scalable, and cybersecure solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the project manager, technical product owner, product manager, and scrum master.
- Work closely with the Team Lead Engineer and Scrum Master, aligning with their development and support priorities.
- Perform code reviews and champion software best practices, standards, and processes.
- Actively contribute to the Agile/Scrum software development process.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree qualification in Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in software and software-enabled products.
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving using logic and effective methods.
- Proficiency in cross-disciplinary design.
- Knowledge of C#, .NET framework, UX/UI design, and SQL database implementation.
- A proactive approach to learning and filling knowledge gaps.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
- Willingness to travel to EMEA.
