Lead Engineer

As a Lead Engineer, you will be instrumental in guiding a team of engineers to foster a collaborative, innovative, and continuously improving environment. Your responsibilities will include architecting, developing, and optimizing scalable solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (or similar platforms like AWS), with a focus on services such as Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, GKE (Kubernetes), and autoscaling. You will also lead frontend development efforts using Vue or React, emphasizing performance optimization and exploring techniques like module federation. Designing and refining database structures and queries for MongoDB and Firestore to ensure peak performance and scalability will be crucial. You will be responsible for building and scaling platform infrastructure in dynamic, fast-paced settings, prioritizing reliability, security, and cost-efficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver impactful solutions is essential. You will tackle complex technical challenges with a methodical and analytical approach, especially under pressure, and stay abreast of industry best practices to integrate them into our team's workflows and architectures.

We are seeking candidates with over 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership capacity. Expertise in Google Cloud Platform services (or equivalents), particularly Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks, Kubernetes (GKE), and autoscaling, is required. Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks like Vue or React, with deep knowledge of frontend optimization techniques, is essential; module federation experience is a plus. Advanced database skills, especially with MongoDB and Firestore, and proven experience in performance optimization are necessary. Demonstrated success in building and scaling platform infrastructure in high-growth or fast-paced environments is expected. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to perform effectively under pressure, are critical. A comprehensive understanding of system architecture and cloud practices, along with strong communication and leadership skills, including a track record of mentoring engineering teams, will set candidates apart.
