Lead Engineer

Fulfil is seeking a Lead Engineer for our Finance team in Bengaluru, India. This is a unique opportunity to drive technical direction within a fast-paced, product-focused environment. You will be responsible for the technical roadmap and architecture of our financial systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability for millions of dollars in transactions.

The Finance team at Fulfil is dedicated to accounting, reconciliation, revenue recognition, and financial integrations, with the ultimate goal of achieving timely book closures and automated transaction postings. In this role, you will design financial systems, mentor engineers, and influence technical strategy.

A typical week might involve defining quarterly roadmaps, deep dives into reconciliation performance optimization, mentoring senior engineers on architectural design, shipping critical code, and participating in hiring interviews.

• Technical roadmap for the Finance domain
• Architecture decisions impacting significant transaction volumes
• Performance and reliability of financial systems
• Mentorship and growth of senior engineers
• Cross-team coordination on financial data flows

What We're Looking For:

• 6-9 years of experience building scalable backend systems
• Experience with fintech, accounting, or financial systems
• Demonstrated technical leadership and system design capabilities
• Proficiency in Python and PostgreSQL
• A collaborative spirit with strong technical opinions

Tech Stack Includes:

Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, RabbitMQ, SQLAlchemy, Kubernetes, pytest.
