Lead Developer

Position: Lead Developer (VC++, MFC)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly technical and experienced Lead Developer to spearhead our Windows desktop application development team based in Hyderabad, India. In this onsite role, you will be responsible for end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of robust Windows-based software.

Key Responsibilities

• System Architecture: Define, build, and evolve architectural blueprints for complex Windows desktop applications, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
  
  
• Technical Strategy: Evaluate requirements to translate them into Object-Oriented Designs (OOD), technical specifications, and roadmaps.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze legacy architectures to optimize memory management and implement multithreading strategies.
• Team Leadership & Mentoring: Lead C++ developers, set engineering standards, conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and foster technical excellence.
  
  
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product owners and QA teams to align deliverables with business objectives.
• Software Development & Debugging: Design GUIs using C++, VC++, MFC; lead root-cause analysis using Visual Studio Debugger, WinDbg, etc.
  
  
• Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full SDLC from prototyping to deployment and post-release support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Core Experience: 8–9 years strictly in Windows desktop application development.
  
  
• Programming Mastery: Deep proficiency in C++, VC++, modern C++ standards, STL, and algorithms.
• Windows Frameworks: Extensive experience with MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes) and Win32 API.
  
  
• Architecture & Design: Proven ability to architect complex systems using OOP principles.
  
  
• Leadership Track Record: History of delivering full-cycle projects as a Team Lead or Architect.
• Memory & Concurrency: Expertise in dynamic memory allocation, pointers, and multithreading within Windows environments.
  
  
• Tools: Proficiency with Git and CI/CD integration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Migrating legacy MFC applications to modern UI frameworks (Qt, WinUI, WPF).
• C#/.NET interoperability knowledge.
  
  
• Azure Agile/Scrum experience and communication skills for non-technical stakeholders.
