Lead Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to core coding tasks and perform thorough code reviews.
• Provide strong technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the engineering team, fostering best practices and ensuring high-quality code delivery.
• Lead the design and development of complex software systems, taking full ownership of architecture and execution.
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver exceptional user-facing features.
• Develop innovative, scalable, and high-performance solutions capable of supporting our growing user base.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Technology or Engineering from a premier educational institution.
• 6 to 8 years of professional experience in high-scale tech product companies.
• Proficient in Java/J2EE with a deep understanding of cross-platform development.
• Proven experience in project management and making critical architectural decisions.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies and familiarity with CI/CD processes.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and deliver high-impact, scalable solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successful teamwork.
• Experience in a startup or product-focused environment is a plus.
