Lead Backend Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer - Backend to architect, develop, and deploy scalable backend systems that power our growing product ecosystem. In this role, you will take ownership of critical services, enforce engineering best practices, and collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering Leadership to build high-quality, secure platforms.

• Spearhead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of backend applications and services.
• Architect scalable, maintainable systems adhering to industry best practices.
• Mentor engineering teams in adopting modern techniques, tools, and frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers on product ideation; align technical strategies with Architects and Engineering Management.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews to uphold standards for quality, performance, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues across development, staging, and production environments.
• Evaluate technologies and processes, driving adoption to ensure product excellence.
• Coach junior and mid-level engineers to enhance technical depth and maturity.

• Demonstrated experience building production-ready backend systems at scale.
• Mastery of modern backend stacks such as Node.js, Go, or similar frameworks.
• Expertise in designing RESTful APIs and integrating diverse backend services.
• Proficiency with SQL databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Oracle.
• Familiarity with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB or Cassandra (preferred).
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Skill in managing CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and automation tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven design, Docker containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Knowledge of performance tuning, scalability patterns, and reliability engineering principles.
• Proven leadership abilities with a focus on mentorship and cross-functional collaboration.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills to drive execution in fast-paced environments.
