Lead Backend Engineer - Bangalore
Inito is seeking a Lead Software Engineer – Backend to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of robust backend systems that power our innovative medical technology ecosystem. In this pivotal role, you will own critical backend services, champion engineering best practices, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering Leadership to build secure, reliable, and scalable systems. Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of backend application and service development, from design to deployment.
- Architect scalable, maintainable, and resilient systems adhering to industry best practices.
- Guide and mentor the engineering team in adopting modern development methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to define product roadmaps and ensure technical alignment with Engineering Managers and Architects.
- Perform rigorous code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality, performance, and security.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across all environments, including development, staging, and production.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance product quality and development efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering their growth and the team's overall engineering maturity.
Requirements
- Extensive backend engineering experience in building and scaling production systems.
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend technology stack, such as Node.js, Go, or similar.
- Deep expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is advantageous.
- Experience with messaging queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Strong exposure to cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven systems, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, scalability patterns, and reliability engineering principles.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and strong collaborative abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with effective decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
