Lead AEM UI Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead AEM UI Developer (Developer III) to provide technical leadership for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise web applications on Adobe Experience Manager. The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into scalable, accessible, and high-performing UI solutions while mentoring teams.

Key Responsibilities

• AEM UI Leadership: Lead development of complex AEM components using HTL/Sightly, Editable Templates, Clientlibs, and modern front-end technologies.
• Architecture & Standards: Define component architecture, reusable patterns, coding standards, and enterprise best practices for the team.
• SME Role: Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing technical guidance across AEM applications and products.
• Modern Front-End Integration: Drive ReactJS integration with AEM, component-driven architecture, headless approaches, and migration from legacy jQuery/UI implementations.
• API & System Integration: Integrate UI solutions with REST/GraphQL APIs in collaboration with backend and DevOps teams.
• Performance Optimization: Own front-end performance strategies including page-load optimization, responsive design, CDN usage, caching, and content delivery.
• Code Quality & Reviews: Conduct detailed code reviews ensuring security, accessibility, maintainability, browser compatibility, and zero duplication.
• Tech Design & Analysis: Analyze complex requirements to create technical designs, identify risks/dependencies, and recommend scalable solutions.
• Production Support: Lead incident resolution, RCA, troubleshooting, release planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Agile Leadership: Break down requirements into tasks, provide estimates, participate in sprint planning/backlog refinement, and contribute to roadmaps.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• AEM (Must Have): AEM 6.x, HTL/Sightly, Components, Editable Templates, Dialogs, Sling Models, Clientlibs, Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, Dispatcher fundamentals.
• Front-End (Must Have): HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery, LESS/SASS, Bootstrap, Responsive Design, Cross-browser compatibility, DOM manipulation, AJAX, JSON, Lodash.
• Tools: Node.js, NPM, Gulp, Git, CI/CD fundamentals.

Integration & Modern UI

• APIs: REST APIs, GraphQL, Asynchronous JavaScript, API error handling.
• Preferrred Technologies: ReactJS, Angular/AngularJS.
