Full Job Description

As a Lead Account Executive based in the London Area, United Kingdom, you will be instrumental in driving Freshworks' revenue growth within the UKI market. This role involves developing new business opportunities and representing multiple Freshworks product lines to mid-market and Enterprise clients. You will act as a brand ambassador, promoting our innovative Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products to enhance organizational productivity, efficiency, and customer-centricity. Collaborating closely with our marketing team and business development representatives (BDRs), your primary focus will be on new customer acquisition, with BDRs providing support for initial outreach and qualification.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to identify and cultivate business opportunities within your designated territory, aiming to surpass sales targets through effective stakeholder mapping, prospecting, qualification, and closing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level decision-makers, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and partner within your named accounts.
  • Generate specific sales opportunities within enterprise accounts by understanding and addressing customer needs and pain points.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as marketing and pre-sales to design and implement campaigns that optimize internal and external processes.
  • Effectively utilize and manage available resources, including guiding business development and pre-sales representatives to achieve individual sales goals.
  • Provide regular pipeline and forecasting reports to the Sales Manager.
  • Undertake regular travel to customer locations and industry-focused events.
  • Continuously educate yourself to become an expert in SaaS products, CRM systems, and the Freshworks product suite.

Qualifications:

  • A diploma or Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience, ideally in outbound/field executive SaaS software sales.
  • Domain knowledge in SaaS, CRM, or ITSM is highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage the sales cycle from initial business champion engagement through to C-level interactions.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales goals in a large geographic territory, selling technical products.
  • Strong customer orientation with experience negotiating business terms with line-of-business, procurement teams, and senior management.
  • Expertise in managing and closing complex sales cycles, typically with a duration of 60-90+ days.
  • Highly motivated and driven with a positive attitude towards sales and CRM products.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile, demonstrating a strong work ethic, self-direction, and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to project credibility through knowledge of the customer service domain and the transformative potential of cloud technology in the enterprise.
  • Capacity to understand complex customer requirements at both business and technical levels.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
