Forge Biologics, a leader in gene therapy development in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a motivated Laboratory Coordinator, QC Analytical Testing. This role is crucial for coordinating laboratory operations, ensuring strict adherence to GMP expectations, and providing essential support for all testing activities, including AAV, plasmids, and cell banks. Responsibilities encompass managing schedules for release and stability testing, coordinating equipment maintenance and verification (calibrations, PMs), and maintaining comprehensive GMP-compliant documentation. The position involves supporting external contract laboratory testing logistics, implementing and enforcing 5S and cleanliness standards, and ensuring labs are organized and audit-ready through routine walkthroughs. Key tasks include managing material ordering, coordinating general lab cleaning, ensuring proper sample receipt and storage, organizing stability and release samples, and facilitating QC lab training and onboarding for new analysts. Collaboration with Supply Chain, Facilities, and EHS is essential, along with serving as a liaison for basic lab operations issues. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent experience, 1-3 years of experience in a GMP laboratory or QC environment is preferred, and a strong understanding of lab equipment, maintenance, and GMP documentation. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills are vital. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, with LIMS, ELN, or QMS system experience being a plus. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is essential.
