L2 Production Support (Java)
We are seeking a skilled L2 Production Support professional with extensive experience in Java, Linux/Unix, Shell Scripting, and SQL to join our team on a permanent, remote basis. This role requires an immediate joiner with 3 to 5 years of experience.
Job Summary:
The primary focus of this role is to manage critical production incidents, conduct in-depth log and data analysis, and ensure the continuous availability of systems in a demanding 24/7 operational environment. The ideal candidate will possess a systematic approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of ITIL processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead critical system outage response and communication, coordinating with cross-functional teams and driving incident calls.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Analyze data to identify anomalies and trends, investigate system failures, and proactively monitor risks.
- Automate or resolve recurring issues to enhance system stability.
- Ensure support operations adhere to SLA timelines and communication standards, monitoring service levels and resolving root causes of issues.
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in Java, Linux, Unix, Shell Scripting, SQL, and Incident Management.
- Proficiency in Unix shell scripting, log investigation, and advanced text processing.
- Strong database skills including data model identification, complex query formulation, and basic performance tuning in DB2, Oracle, or NoSQL environments.
- Familiarity with Java/Python basics, ability to trace errors in code, and understanding of Microservices and APIs.
- Knowledge of messaging systems like MQ Series, Kafka, SWIFT, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with analytics tools such as SQL and performance monitoring.
