L2 Engineer

About the Role

Showpad is seeking an L2 Java Backend Engineer to join our Pune engineering team (Maharashtra). This role focuses on building scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, SQL, and AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust backend services with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Create efficient RESTful APIs within microservice architectures.
• Leverage relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) for data management using optimized SQL queries.
• Deploy and support applications across AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, etc.

Must-Have Skills

We are looking for a professional with 4+ years of experience demonstrating strong technical depth:

• Hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot framework development.
• Proven track record building RESTful web services and Microservices architecture solutions.
• Mastery of SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) for complex relational database operations.
• Mandatory AWS Experience: Practical deployment experience with Amazon EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS is required. Certifications alone are insufficient; we seek actual project execution history.
