Full Job Description
Continental is seeking a Key Account Manager for its OE (Original Equipment) business in India, based in Delhi. This role is pivotal in developing and executing strategies to drive profitable and sustainable growth within the Indian market, focusing on ContiKit and Passenger Car Tire segments for OEMs.
Strategy and Business Development
- Develop and implement tactical programs to achieve targeted business goals.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to foster business growth across different regions.
- Support the Head of Region and GKAM ContiKit in formulating and executing long-term strategies to meet regional business area (BA) targets.
- Cultivate and manage ContiKit and Passenger Car Tire business with key OEMs in India, serving as the primary commercial, technical, quality, and logistics interface.
- Ensure the development and execution of market strategies and business plans for profitable and sustainable growth in India.
- Oversee the daily operations of the OE Key Account Management (KAM) organization in India.
- Ensure the quality and delivery of technical and commercial offers provided by the OE KAM team to Indian customers.
Customer Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at customer organizations to ensure mutual value creation and profitable growth.
- Represent the Business Area (BA) at relevant customer events and meetings.
- Develop OEM partnerships in alignment with CKA (Customer Key Account) and OEBU (Original Equipment Business Unit) strategies to foster long-term, fruitful relationships.
Technical and Quality Management
- Secure technical approvals at OE customers by managing internal and external PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) steps.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality issues, coordinating internal processes according to Continental's quality standards.
- Evaluate confirmed requirements from major customers and define internal actions for fulfillment.
- Share insights and experiences from major customers with development engineers.
- Propose and organize joint customer tests and customer presentations for key accounts.
- Organize and facilitate customer events.
- Coordinate and accompany customer quality audits to support the Quality Management (QM) department.
- Maintain and update customer IT tools as required.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and quality performance for Indian OE customers, meeting both internal and external requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the tire OE business, or tire development/manufacturing.
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment.
- Demonstrated intercultural sensitivity.
