Junior WordPress Developer - Work from Office in Ahmedabad

WebIndia Inc. is seeking a motivated Junior WordPress Developer to join our team in Nava Vadaj, Ahmedabad. This is a full-time, work-from-office position.

About the Role

As a Junior WordPress Developer, you will play a key role in building, customizing, and optimizing WordPress websites. You'll leverage modern front-end development techniques, including page builders and AI coding tools, to deliver high-quality digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize WordPress websites using popular page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Beaver Builder.
• Utilize AI tools like Claude Code for accelerated front-end development, code generation, and debugging.
• Implement essential website security measures using plugins like Wordfence or iThemes Security and anti-spam techniques (CAPTCHA, honeypots).
• Apply basic performance optimization strategies, including caching plugins, CDNs (e.g., KeyCDN), and tools like WP Rocket.
• Configure email delivery solutions via Mailgun or SMTP plugins for contact forms and notifications.
• Implement on-page SEO fundamentals using plugins such as Yoast SEO or RankMath.
• Ensure all developed websites are fully responsive and mobile-friendly across various devices and browsers.
• Collaborate effectively with designers and senior developers, adhering to established guidelines and maintaining clear documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and basic PHP. Previous projects, internships, or self-learning experience is highly valued.
• Familiarity with WordPress core concepts, including themes, plugins, and proficiency with at least one major page builder (Elementor, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, or similar).
• Basic knowledge or practical experience with AI coding assistants like Claude Code for writing and improving code.
• Understanding of fundamental website security principles and experience with common security/anti-spam plugins.
• Basic knowledge of website speed optimization techniques, including caching, image optimization, and CDN usage.
• Experience using SEO plugins like Yoast SEO or RankMath is a plus.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills are mandatory.
• A strong problem-solving attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning and utilizing AI tools.

Who Should Apply
