Junior Site Reliability Engineer

Join Miratech's client, a global leader in cloud contact center software, as a Junior Site Reliability Engineer in Chennai. You will collaborate with senior engineers to enhance the observability, reliability, and performance of complex cloud systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting production services under the guidance of experienced SREs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring approximately 30 microservices to ensure system health and performance.
• Contribute to building and maintaining dashboards for system observability and reporting.
• Participate in troubleshooting production issues, with escalation as needed.
• Work with service owners to gather requirements and improve monitoring coverage.
• Support automation initiatives for streamlining reporting and log management.
• Help maintain a consistent dashboard appearance for rapid issue identification.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in an SRE, DevOps, or Production Support role.
• Basic understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Python preferred).
• Basic knowledge of cloud concepts and modern software delivery practices.
• General understanding of version control systems (Git).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a willingness to learn.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or the ELK stack.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
