Junior Security Analyst

About the Job

Scoutit is seeking enthusiastic Junior Security Analysts to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. In this role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our organization's digital assets.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular and on-demand scans of organizational systems and cloud environments.
• Investigate and resolve information security incidents, including targeted attacks and internal breaches.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), for threat management, policies, and protocols.
• Collaborate with technology teams to test, implement, and automate robust security solutions.
• Research and evaluate emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Communicate the risks associated with identified vulnerabilities and propose effective security controls for mitigation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience working with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and security policies.
• Proficiency with networking and web/mobile application security tools such as Nessus, Burpsuite, Nmap, and Metasploit.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems like Kali, Ubuntu, and Parrot Linux OS is considered an advantage.
• Solid understanding of technical concepts including cloud computing, automation, networking, and application development.
• Professional certifications such as CEH or CISSP are not mandatory but are viewed as a plus.
• Knowledge of vulnerability data management and the automation of reporting processes.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and SANS Top 25 methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages, including Python.
