About the role: Junior Security Analyst in Hyderabad
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular and on-demand security scans across organizational systems and cloud environments.
- Investigate and resolve information security incidents, including targeted and internal threats.
- Develop and maintain documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for threat management, including policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with technology teams to test, implement, and automate security solutions.
- Research and evaluate emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Communicate the risks associated with identified vulnerabilities and propose security controls for mitigation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and security policies.
- Understanding of networking concepts and experience with web/mobile application security tools such as Nessus, Burpsuite, Nmap, and Metasploit.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems (e.g., Kali, Ubuntu, Parrot Linux OS) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of technical concepts including cloud computing, automation, networking, and application development.
- Professional certifications such as CEH or CISSP are not mandatory but are considered a plus.
- Understanding of vulnerability data management and the automation of reporting processes.
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and SANS Top 25 methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Python.
