Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular and on-demand security scans of organizational systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Investigate and resolve security incidents, including advanced persistent threats and internal breaches.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for threat management, policies, and security protocols.
- Collaborate with technology teams to test, implement, and automate security solutions, enhancing our defense mechanisms.
- Proactively research and assess emerging security threats and vulnerabilities to stay ahead of potential risks.
- Clearly communicate the risks associated with identified vulnerabilities and provide actionable recommendations for security control implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience working with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal security policies.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and proficiency with web/mobile application security tools such as Nessus, Burpsuite, Nmap, and Metasploit.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems, particularly Kali, Ubuntu, and Parrot Linux, is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of technical concepts including cloud computing, automation, networking principles, and application development lifecycles.
- Possession of professional certifications like CEH or CISSP is advantageous but not strictly required.
- Understanding of vulnerability data management and the automation of reporting processes.
- Familiarity with industry-standard methodologies such as OWASP Top 10 and SANS Top 25.
- Basic scripting skills in languages like Python are a plus.
