Junior Python Engineer Opportunity in Gurugram, India

Devkraft is seeking a motivated Junior Python Engineer to join our dynamic backend team in Gurugram, India. This onsite, permanent position is ideal for an individual with approximately one year of experience who is eager to advance their skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You will play a key role in developing scalable web applications, automating internal processes, and optimizing data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development & Maintenance: Write and maintain clean, efficient backend logic using Python 3.x. Troubleshoot and debug existing codebases to identify and resolve bottlenecks. Assist in implementing new features and API endpoints using popular frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute unit tests using PyTest or Unittest to ensure code reliability. Actively participate in peer code reviews to uphold code quality standards and learn best practices. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed modules.
• Collaboration & Integration: Integrate user-facing elements developed by frontend developers with server-side logic. Write and optimize basic SQL queries for database interactions with systems like PostgreSQL or MySQL. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.

Technical Requirements:

• Solid understanding of core Python concepts including data structures (Lists, Dicts, Tuples), List Comprehensions, and Exception Handling.
• Hands-on experience with at least one Python web framework (Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
• Basic knowledge of Relational Databases (SQL) and Object-Relational Mappers (ORMs) like SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
• Proficiency with Git, including branching, merging, and pull requests.

This role requires 1 year of relevant experience, with a potential range up to 3 years.
