About the Role: Junior Python Automation Engineer at Infobeans

Infobeans is seeking a motivated Junior Python Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key part in designing and implementing robust automation frameworks that enhance product reliability and streamline deployment processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive end-to-end automated tests, including functional, upgrade, high availability (HA), negative, and longevity tests, leveraging Python and Pytest.
• Create modular, reusable, and resilient test automation code to ensure the stability and integrity of our systems.
• Develop verification plans, test strategies, and triage playbooks, proactively identifying coverage gaps and continuously improving automation reliability.
• Automate testing across a variety of storage platforms, such as Object Storage, NAS, SAN, and File Systems.
• Test and validate REST APIs, backend services, and cloud workflows, integrating them with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins.
• Analyze system logs, conduct failure injection testing, and work closely with development teams to expedite defect resolution.

What We're Looking For:

• Solid hands-on experience with Python automation, coupled with a deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and fundamental OS concepts (Linux/Windows).
• Proficiency in Pytest, Jenkins CI, and Git-based workflows, including expertise in fixtures, parametrization, and parallelization.
• Demonstrated experience in testing distributed systems or storage/networking platforms like iSCSI/NVMe-TCP, NFS/SMB, and S3.
• A strong grasp of REST APIs and backend validation principles.
• Excellent debugging and triage capabilities across product, environment, and automation layers.

Bonus Skills:

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with containerized environments, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of performance or scalability testing tools.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices and DevOps pipelines.
