Junior PHP Programmer - Kolkata, West Bengal

Whole9yards Global E-Com Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a motivated Junior PHP Programmer to join our growing team in Kolkata, West Bengal. This full-time, in-person role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to exciting web development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain robust PHP-based web applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to industry standards.
• Work extensively with MySQL databases, including query writing and performance optimization.
• Collaborate effectively with front-end developers and designers for seamless integration of user-facing elements.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth application functionality.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements and best practices in web development.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 1-2 years of professional experience in PHP development.
• Strong proficiency in core web technologies: PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and experience with third-party integrations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with popular CMS platforms such as WordPress.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing platforms like AWS or Azure.

This is a full-time position requiring an in-person presence at our Kolkata, West Bengal office.
