About the Role

Sombra Software is seeking motivated and customer-focused L1-L2 Eagle Support Engineers to join our dynamic Eagle Platform Operations team in Hyderabad. This role is crucial for maintaining the stability and ensuring timely issue resolution for the Eagle Investment Systems platform. You will deliver high-quality service to our business partners across Trading, Portfolio Management, Operations, Risk, and Finance. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with application Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), infrastructure teams, and business users to diagnose issues, conduct root cause analysis, and uphold the overall health of the Eagle ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Real-time monitoring of Eagle jobs, workflows, file transfers, and data loads.
• Logging, triaging, and routing incidents using the standard ticketing system.
• Performing initial troubleshooting for job failures, missing files, or data discrepancies.
• Executing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to expedite service restoration.
• Providing timely incident status updates and communications to stakeholders.
• Escalating complex issues to L2/L3 or Platform Engineering as needed.

Required Skills and Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in production support, application support, or operations engineering.
• Experience with Eagle Investment Systems (STAR, PACE, DataMart, MC, Scheduler) is strongly preferred.
• A solid understanding of investment operations, including security masters, pricing, positions, trades, corporate actions, and NAV reconciliation.
• Proficient SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) for data investigation and validation.
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments, shell scripting, and job schedulers (e.g., Autosys, Control-M).
• Familiarity with SFTP/FTS workflows, batch processing, and API integrations.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform effectively under time-sensitive conditions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
• Exposure to monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics.
• Python experience for automation and operational tooling.
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts (incident, problem, change management).
