Junior Java Software Engineer

Miratech is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join their team in Chennai, India, to contribute to the development of next-generation cloud-based SaaS platforms for a leading global contact center software provider. This role offers an excellent opportunity to hone software development skills in a cloud environment by working with experienced engineers on Java-based microservices utilizing Spring Boot. You will play a key role in developing, testing, and supporting production-ready systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Java microservices with Spring Boot.
• Assist in the design and implementation of scalable and reliable features.
• Troubleshoot and support existing services under senior engineer guidance.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and peers to deliver high-quality software.
• Learn and apply best practices for cloud-native application development.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Java development with Spring Boot.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud concepts (GCP, AWS, or Azure) is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive learning attitude.
• General knowledge of version control systems, specifically Git.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as Google BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions.
